I am taking part in a virtual Santa Dash in aid of Nugent Care a charity which provides a vast array of services and support to the most vulnerable in our community, including:
· A care home which provides person-centred residential care for older people including those living with dementia
· Several care homes for children and young people who are at-risk and extremely vulnerable A flagship educational and residential school for students with emotional behaviour and mental health needs· Education and school social work services
· A vast array of community services - from a community centre to food banks to mental health support for those transitioning out of homelessness
· A registered and approved Independent Adoption Agency
The charity is close to my heart because I have a passion for supporting vulnerable children particularly, having lived experience. I want to support this much needed charity and their life-saving work.
