For many years, Leigh Superstars has been held on the first Saturday in September to raise awareness and funds for local charities. The 'Leigh Superstars' are actually the brave adult volunteers who are sponsored to take part in a series of extremely silly races for the general public's amusement! This year Jim Tallent is racing to raise money for: Leigh Primary School PTA.   

Jim has a deep-rooted relationship with the school with both his daughters attending the school and his wife Jo having worked as a TA and SEN specialist. Jim has lived in Leigh for 12 years and a huge part of the community. He has volunteered at the school countless times, mainly working at the Forest School which makes the Outside Classroom Project especially close to his heart.
