Last time I ran the Bath Half was a year after my cancer treatment. How my world has changed since then!
I was the first in my family to be affected by cancer but since then, whilst I've been so fortunate to be clear of cancer for almost 7 years, I have lost first my Mum, then my partner's Mum and then my Dad to the wretched disease!
So when my friend Laura told me how she wanted to help people in and around Bath affected by cancer, I knew I needed to be involved!
We Get It is less than 18 months old but has already helped numerous people affected by cancer. And now is a critical time for the organisation - to help even more people and to realise Laura's dream, of a permanent support centre in Bath, We Get It first needs to become a registered charity. We also need to buy collecting buckets and a contactless donation device and print more leaflets to help spread the word. Please help me raise the funds we need to get to the next level.
