And that's a wrap!
So I'm home after 10 days in Nepal, with 5 days trekking in the mountains. What an incredible experience. Thank you so much to everyone for your donations. I know every penny raised will be used to support children and their families in the Swansea area. Diolch 💙💛❤️
Update
Saturday August 2nd. My lovely friend and fellow Trekker, Jane Storer, suggested a 7 mile, 5 hour hike along the coast from Southgate to Oxwich point and back. Weather was glorious and the hike was beautiful but it was actually a little over 12.5 miles and took 7 hours. Good job she's a much better Welfare Rights expert than she is hike planner 😉.
Update
Saturday 5th July. Trek training has started.
9 miles and 5.25 hours in rain, gales and mist around Llyn y Fan Fawr and Fach!
So this year I am going to be 60!! I had thought about booking a SAGA Cruise but that isn't really me. So, just to show age is just a number, I have committed to undertaking two challenges to raise money for Faith in Families.
In April I will run Manchester Marathon and in October I will be joining an incredible group of people as we trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp in Nepal.
Faith in Families provides support to children and their families as they strive to overcome the challenges of living on very low incomes.
I know money is tight for most people at the moment but if any of you can spare a few bob, I promise it will be put to good use.
Diolch yn Fawr
💙💛❤️
