I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone for your kind words and
generous donations for completion of the London Marathon. As you know, this run was in memory of Mike, and I feel truly blessed to have been able to complete something in honour of this incredible man, whom I was lucky
enough to call husband and Dad to my beautiful daughters. As I reflect on both the loss of Mike and the completion of the marathon, I want to share that this experience was more than just a personal challenge.
It was a way to show myself—and hopefully others—that even in the darkest moments, there is still the strength to move forward. In the bleakness of loneliness, there can still be purpose, growth and even beauty. Don’t underestimate the difficulty of taking on a big challenge—physically,
emotionally, or mentally. It will test you. But also, don’t underestimate the
power it has to transform you. Starting a journey, no matter how daunting it may seem, is often the first step toward healing. The growth, strength, and
sense of accomplishment that come from facing something so hard yet
incredibly rewarding.
To anyone who has reached their lowest point, I encourage you to hold on to hope. From pain, there can come growth, healing, and something deeply
meaningful.
