Hi,

My sister and I have both played cricket from a young age and have been fortunate enough to have had parents able to support our love of the game, fund the purchase of kit and and transport us to games.

In my early years, I was fortunate enough to play county cricket taking me to all corners of the country and without my dad driving me, I’d have had no way of experiencing the years I did. Likewise with Alicia, our parents have paid for development courses, new bats, club memberships and spent hours watching and supporting.

Some children, unfortunately don’t have the funds available to reach the opportunities available and with coaching courses costing money are unable to access this and reach their full potential.  This is where The Cricket Asylum Foundation can help so many children.

We will both be netting for the full 24 hours to raise as much money for The Cricket Asylum Foundation as possible on Thursday 20th Feb - Friday 21st Feb.

As most of you will be aware, in June I unfortunately suffered a bad knee accident resulting in a compete rupture of my ACL ligament. 2 weeks ago, I re-dislocated my knee which now looks like I will require surgery to reconstruct my ligament. This means the physical activity I can participate in is limited.  I will be unable to bowl or bat,  but I intend on using a sidearm to bowl at batters from standing for as long as I can stand. I will be there for the full 24 hours, supporting and offering coaching for a 24 hour continued period.

My sister Alicia, will be physically active for the full 24 hours, batting and bowling from 12pm on Thursday to 12pm on Friday.

Any money you can support us with will be greatly appreciated by The Cricket Asylum Foundation.

Thanks

Kirstin & Alicia.
