*CHARITY FUNDRAISING COLLECTION 

October 1st marks the beginning of Baby Loss Awareness Month. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss either during pregnancy or after birth. This is a staggering statistic, yet is a little known fact. It is a topic that is not easily spoken about, meaning women/couples that experience these losses often end up unable to talk, feeling isolated and alone. This is reflected in the fact that 1 in 6 women experience long-term post traumatic stress following a loss as well as 114 women dying from mental health related causes during or up to one year after pregnancy in the UK last year!

All of these statistics hit me hard. The reason being that I am these statistics. I am that 1 in 4 and 1 in 6. Luckily for me, my hospital consultant recommended a small, local, charity run counselling service called ‘Pregnancy Crisis Care’. This lovely team of women listened, comforted and asked all the right questions. They were truly amazing and I am thankful every day for all that they have done for me.

In honour of Baby Loss Awareness month, I am releasing a special collection of prints, along with personalised candle wraps in hope of raising funds for ‘Pregnancy Crisis Care’, raising awareness of the amazing work they do, along with hopefully going some way to reducing the stigma of talking about baby loss. 

All profits from the sale of this collection will go directly to ‘Pregnancy Crisis Care’. I have also set up a Localgiving page, if you would rather just donate.
