Later this year I will be taking on an epic 100km challenge across the Sahara Desert to raise funds for Nugent!
Departing on 12 November 2023, I will embark on the most amazing and challenging 7-day adventure, trekking through stunning desert landscapes by day and camping under the stars at night.
Nugent are a Merseyside based charity which has been operating for over 140 years providing vital support for many children, young people, adults and families. They care for, educate, protect and inspire those in need through their care homes, schools, communities and social work services.
I am raising funds to help Nugent to create packages for families fleeing domestic abuse - this would enable more families to safely leave a home where violence, or the threat of violence, is present. Often their money is controlled so the ability to move to a safe and furnished property may be a barrier for some individuals or families.
