Hi, my name is Lewis. On Saturday 8th November, I’ll be taking part in a sleepout at Eureka in Halifax to raise funds for The Light Group, a charity close to my heart that works tirelessly to support people who are trapped in homelessness and addiction.
This isn’t just about braving a cold night outdoors—it’s about showing solidarity with those who don’t have a choice. For many, sleeping rough is a painful reality, not just for one night but day after day, with no certainty of warmth, safety, or hope.
The Light Group brings real change. They don’t just provide immediate help, they walk alongside people, helping them rebuild their lives with compassion, dignity, and faith. Every pound raised goes towards transforming despair into hope, and giving people the tools and support they need to start again.
I know one night outside won’t compare to the struggles faced by those who live without a home, but if my small step can make a difference—even for one person—then it’s worth every moment in the cold.
If you’re able, please support me by donating to this fundraiser. Your generosity will directly impact lives, offering not just shelter, but love, guidance, and the chance of a brighter future.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for standing with me and with those who need it most. Together, we can be the light in someone’s darkest night.
💙 Lewis
