On the 7th September, I will be taking part in the North West Tough Mudder 2019.
I will be running an 8-10 mile course, with 25 obstacles - all the while being waist deep in mud!
I will be doing this tough (and messy) challenge all in aid of a charity close to my heart, Age Connects Morgannwg (ACM) that offers support to vulnerable older people in our local communities.
My wife currently works for the charity and see first hand how vulnerable older people are in our communities, with budgets being cut and hospitals at crisis point. it hits the vulnerable people first!
This is an example of how your money will be spent:
- £1 donation means that our Information and Advice service can generate an average of £63 of income for older people in poverty.
- £5 pays for a volunteer's expenses to visit an isolated older person in their own home twice a month.
- £10 will help pay towards for our Hospital Discharge Service which supports vulnerable older people who are discharged from hospital and have little support available to them
So please, if you can donate as much or as little as you can, it would be greatly appreciated.
