2026 brings the tenth anniversary of the first Ring of Fire (ROF) bike ride, supporting many local charities over the past 10 years, with many challenges planned this year to continue fundraising efforts.
On Sunday 3rd May this year I will be taking on our first ever of it kind 'Ladies ROF' - 50 miles in one day around Milton Keynes, stopping off at supporting Rugby Clubs. I will be cycling alongside fellow ladies who are fundraising for the cause too.
If one cycling challenge wasn't enough, my arm was twisted for another, the BIGROF26 on 14-15th May! This challenge is a 'short', sharp 170 miles in Northern France and Belgium, with many newcomers taking on the challenge as well as seasoned riders. 170 miles over 1.5 days. Easy? On paper yes....still a lot of miles.
I'll be getting my bike out of retirement after ROF 2024 Paris to Mk, dusting off my cleats to go again. Safe to say this cycling marlkey is some tough feat, but for the 10th Anniversary of ROF, why not go all out and double the challenge (I might regret this, but all for a goo cause of course!)
