To create a weekly “Making Shed” for young adults

Hey everyone  I am reaching out for your support for a community project that I am really passionate about!

As many of you my friends know, what makes me ‘me’ is my love for being creative and being able to express that. I truly believe that providing opportunities for creative arts and activities within our society is massively important.

We all know that we are living in a time which is difficult for lots of people in lots of different ways, countless services have been cut, many for the most vulnerable people in our society, but also countless other services and opportunities have been cut for our local communities, creative arts is one of those areas deemed not important, but for me it should be.
Community based services around the creative arts and activities help to bring people closer together and let's face it, right now, with the present climate we find ourselves in, with what seems to be ever growing division amongst us, who could argue against initiatives that bring people together for the benefit of each other and the wider community?

With all this fresh in our minds, in a weeks time from now I will be starting a 10 week course working on a project to set up a weekly “Making Shed” for young adults in my local community. We will be creating a much needed community service, where young people can be supported in their creativity and skills within a workshop in Frome and benefit for from being creative in the many ways I’ve listed above as I have across my life.

And this is where I need you to offer your help and support, as part of the course I need to raise funds to kickstart the project.

I am so excited as this is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I believe so much in the positive effect it will have on other people’s lives. Thanks for your time in reading this post!
