About

In 2017 at the age of 59 my Dad was diagnosed with early onset dementia. From when we noticed signs that something wasn't right up until the present day it has been an emotional time for our family, trying to come to terms with what is happening to our Dad.

When looking for support groups my Mum came across Music 24. Music is one of the few things that still brings Dad to life, put on Elton Johns greatest hits and he can sing along to every word.

Music 24 is local music charity that builds strong communities through music and provides ongoing support to people with dementia and their carers. These groups are truly amazing, watching everyone come to life with music is incredible. Not only this but the group gives my amazing Mum the chance to meet with other careers who provide support and advice.

On the 25th of June I am Cycling 150 miles for Music 24. Our Route starts in Hitchin Hertfordshire and finishes in Horncastle Lincolnshire. This charity is a life line to all that attend and I would love to raise money to help them continue the great work they do, any donation would be so gratefully received.
