OPAL supports over 760 older people with the help of more than 100 volunteers. I have worked for OPAL for 20yrs and I see first hand the difference OPAL makes to the lives of older people, reducing loneliness and isolation, and improving health and wellbeing. I also see how much more challenging it is to secure the funds that OPAL needs to continue to deliver the services and support that it does.

This is why I am running the marathon despite running it once before and saying 'never again'. It is a brutal course and incredibly hard fitting in the training with a f/t job. I would appreciate any support you can give. Thank you.
