Having (re)found my love for running over the last 18 months I decided it was time to do my 1st Marathon. On choosing the Eden Marathon, I thought it appropriate to pick a Cornish charity, being St Petrocs to raise money for.
Working to end homelessness in Cornwall by providing accommodation, support, advice, training and resettlement services to people experiencing homelessness. St Petrocs do fantastic work to support a growing number of people who have nowhere else to turn.
The Eden Marathon is described as a hilly multi-terrain course around the famous site, following a challenging route through areas of spectacular mining heritage and beautiful countryside landscapes. I am under no illusion that this will be a challenge therefore any sponsorship, will give me extra motivation as well as go to a great cause.
