On 24 July, four of us will take on the National Three Peaks Challenge – ascending Britain’s highest summits (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales) all within 24 hours. In that time we’ll tackle:
• 23 miles of hiking, with a total ascent of around 3,408 metres
• 460 miles of driving, zig-zagging from Glen Nevis to Wasdale to Llanberis
• Three very different mountains, from Ben Nevis’s craggy ridges to Scafell Pike’s rocky plateau and Snowdon’s sweeping Welsh slopes
Beyond being a massive personal challenge, we’re harnessing every stride and summit for a vital cause. Suicide remains the leading cause of death among men under 50 in the UK. “Men’s Minds Matter” equips professionals, carers, friends and families with expert training in suicide prevention – empowering communities to recognise warning signs and intervene effectively.
Every pound you contribute will go directly towards:
• Funding workshops and accredited training courses in mental-health first aid
• Developing support networks for men at risk
• Raising awareness campaigns that break down the stigma around male suicide
Thank you for helping us prove that no one has to face their darkest hour alone.
