For mental health week this year alongside the very popular move it week we are also looking at the ideas related to this year’s theme of community. We are asking the children to engage in their community either in a way they already do, like attending a local club or a new ways. For example going on a walk that you haven’t been on before, saying hi to someone new on the way to school, offering to help a neighbour with a task or having a chat with them. Community and connection are ways we can support our own mental health and well-being and that of others. So use this week to increase your connection with your local community. We are asking where possible for sponsorship for young people trying new things in the community and increasing there movement.
Any money raised will be used to support the mental health and wellbeing of the whole school community through purchasing resources and possible training packages to support staff to be able to deliver well-being initiatives in school. Many thanks, St Andrews Major Church in Wales School PTA
