Hello
Seven weeks ago, I decided to start running for the first time since I was a kid. I entered a Half Marathon in Richmond Park to give me an incentive, but mainly to raise some money for Yorda Adventures, a wonderful charity in Chessington that provides play and care for severely disabled children.
Our son, Noah, has been fortunate enough to be able to spend time at the Yorda Playhouse and has also been on overnight trips with them. As soon as our daughter, Gabriella, was old enough she started working there in the holidays.
The team at Yorda are amazing and the work they do to help the children have fun times in a safe environment is inspiring. They are a small charity and need as much help as possible. Those who work for and run Yorda Adventures, and the families who use their services are grateful for every penny that is donated, as this means that Yorda can offer more time to help more severely disabled children.
If nothing else, you can donate knowing full well (and laugh) that I will have to run this old, fat body around the park on what is bound to be a cold, wet October morning when I could be tucked up in bed.
Thanks for your support.

Four laps around the top bit of Richmond Park. Apparently.
