I am cycling 234 miles from Dumbarton to Aberdeen in June 2025 in support of Camphill School Aberdeen's Murtle Market. Camphill School Aberdeen is a charity helping young people with learning disabilities and complex additional support needs in north east Scotland, and the market is their sustainable social enterprise charity which has been developed as part of the Building Futures, Transforming Lives appeal.
This sustainable shop, café, and heritage hub is Camphill School Aberdeen's first public-facing venture. Local and seasonal produce is sold, as well as refilling schemes for dried food and environmentally friendly cleaning products. Arts and crafts created by Camphill's young people will be displayed and available to purchase in Murtle Market. Some of the seasonal produce will be grown on site in the School's walled garden with the help of the young people. The venture will provide meaningful work opportunities to develop communication, teamwork and problem solving skills and gain experience in customer service, money handling and more.
Please donate to help support Camphill School Aberdeen and its young people. bp will match any of my fundraising efforts up to £4000. If you are eligible, please use Gift Aid with your donation. You can also visit the Market on North Deeside Rd, AB15 9EE to support the Market directly.
