Nathan’s Way

On April 30th we will be attempting to climb Britain’s three highest peaks, Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden, as part of the Riff Raff Society’s 3 Peaks in 24hrs Challenge .
Why?
Last year Dominic lost his brother Nathan, tragically and unexpectedly aged just 26 to Sudden Arrythmic Death, leaving his family shocked and devastated.
Nathan was an amazing and gorgeous lad. His learning difficulties never stopped him extracting all the fun from life. First on the dance floor, last to leave, he was apparently fit and healthy, known locally as the boy on the special green bike, regularly cycling over 40km a week.
Nathan was part of our lives growing up; “popping in” at sleep overs then parties for a high five or handshake. 
Dominic’s family are aiming, in his memory, to organise a Cardiac testing day locally, partnering with CRY , Cardiac Risk in the Young to have around 100 local 14-35 year olds tested.
Facilitating the day will cost around £10,000 but there is every chance it could save some precious lives of those at risk in our community.
We plan to take the challenge whatever the weather, Nathan’s way, with a big smile on our faces. We are sure he will approve .
