***Update on My Running Journey and New Goal***
Unfortunately, health issues have affected my participation in the March New York event. Nevertheless, I am committed to staying active and have set a new goal for May/June: completing a 20km run along the Bath/Bristol cycle path. Despite recent health challenges, the unwavering support from Sporting Family Change (SFC) has been vital in keeping me motivated. SFC is known for providing crucial support without judgment, aiding individuals during tough times. Their encouragement is essential for me to continue this journey.

I am excited to announce that on March 17, 2024, I will be participating in the New York Half Marathon, my second official half marathon on top of my regular training runs. Six years ago, completing a 5k seemed impossible, let alone a half marathon. Running has brought about a remarkable transformation in my life, allowing me to explore and understand myself better over the years. My running journey started with the invaluable support of Sporting Family Change, guided by the amazing Hayley, Jimmy, and Serena. Their encouragement helped me rediscover the joy of physical activity and laughter. Running has liberated me from being defined by my health issues and past traumas. It has empowered me to confront my mental health struggles from my teenage years and realize that I can overcome life's obstacles. With the backing of my loved ones and faith, I have learned that I am not bound by my past. By prioritizing my well-being, I am now on a journey towards happiness and a more fulfilling life.
