2026 will be my debut year for Milton Keynes’ very own ‘Ring of Fire’ – a superb charitable event where a group of young/middle/old age men & women cycle a good few miles raising money for great causes.  This year is the 10th anniversary event and I’ve taken the leap to get involved in the BigRoF26.

The event is 170 miles over 2 days.

·      Thursday 14th May - Ferry to Dunkirk , cycle from Dunkirk to Depanne-Diskmunde-Ypres. Overnight in Ypres and the Menin gate last post ceremony (where we will participate in the Colour Party, and ceremony) before reflecting with some local beers.

·      Friday 15th May - 6am start heading off to Roubaix (and one lap of the outdoor Velodrome), up to Plugstreet (twin town with our very own Wolverton, Milton Keynes) and then Vieux Berquin (WW1 memorial) and a stop at Talbot House in Poperinge.  Some get a ferry back to the UK while others take advantage of a weekend away…….

·      There is therefore the potential for further cycling on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May – I will keep you posted on any firm plans.

I, along 70 other cyclist will be raising funds for the following charities:

1.    Willen Hospice Willen Hospice | Compassionate Care for the Community

2.    4ED/MNDA.4Ed - Supporting Families Affected by Motor Neurone Disease

3.    Cardiac risk for the young CRY

4.    MKRUFC.

All costs for this event are self funded or donated by corporate sponsors. All donations via this page go to the charities and MKRUFC.

Thank you in advance for any support.  It is and will be deeply appreciated.

Nick
