POD Peddlers

Nechells POD has been in existence since the year 2008 when it was established by the Local Authority as an Education Action Zone (EAZ).  Support from the Local Authority was first reduced then removed and in July 2015 we established charitable status as SHINE@NechellsPOD working in the economically environmentally and socially deprived area of Nechells in Birmingham.  We believe in empowering learning by working together.  We work with local schools, voluntary and statutory organisations and local partners to support the Nechells Community by providing advice, information and guidance, diversionary activities, adult and family learning, parent support and signposting.  We are an inclusive and collaborative partnership that aims to empower every learner, provide opportunities for enjoyment and success and ensure a brighter future for all in a cohesive community.  I'm doing this ride because I want to see the great work done at the POD not only carry on but become more extensive.
