I have had a road bike collecting dust in my garage for about 6 years now due to major problem with my right knee which finally resulted in a full knee replacement in September 2018. After intensive rehab, I found myself using an exercise bike at the gym more and more and was quite happy doing this until I met Tessa Kind from Love Kingston who's house I just happened to be selling for her and out of the blue she said do you have a bike? Well.... a fair amount of training later and there are now 5 of us riding for Love Kingston and its a pretty daunting concept, 100 miles starting in central London and weaving around the surrey hills ( and yes there are some cracking hills). My aim is to finish before it gets dark and thank goodness its summer time.... and raise as much as I possibly can for this awesome charity which focuses on KIngston and people in the surrey area who need a bit of assistance from all walks of life. So Please donate what you can afford and remember its a great cause, but even if its only the cost of a Coffee from Costa or Cake Walk (fantastic coffee and cakes) or the price of a pint of beer (Peroni please) at £5.50 per pint (Queens Head) what every you can afford will be received with thanks. See you all at the finish or along the route we will be wearing Love Kingston Bike Jerseys so please Cheer us all on.
