Pinney Talfourd's running group, The Pinney Pacers have taken on the daunting challenge of running the Havering Half Marathon on Sunday 6th October and need your help to get them through it.

Keeley Miller is the ringleader of the group and has managed to find another four volunteers to join her at this event; the first half marathon to take place in Havering in nearly 25 years!

Keeley, Kristian Croad, Suzanne Figgins, Lexie Jacobs and Oliver-James Topping are all training hard to try to ensure they reach that coveted finish line.

The event is being organised by the local mental health charity Havering Mind. All entry fees will go towards helping them to support local people in the community who may be experiencing problems with their mental well-being.

The Pinney Pacers will be further contributing to the rich tapestry of Havering by raising sponsorship for Pinney Talfourd's Charity of the Year, Havering Association for People with Disabilities (H.A.D).
H.A.D provide a broad range of services and activities for people with physical disabilities and carers in the London Borough of Havering. They were nominated as our Charity of the Year by numerous staff members who have seen first hand the incredible work they do to ensure those with disabilities continue to have a voice, a choice and control over their lives.

Please support the group by sponsoring what you can to help this great local charity. We will be posting weekly updates in the weeks leading to the event so you can see how training is going...
