Christmas is a wonderful time of year but for some, it is also really stressful, pressured and even unhappy. We aim to bring a bit of joy, building happy memories as part of childhood, and be there for families who need support.

Purple Elephant has arranged a special Christmas party, in a warm, welcoming space - Santa has been able to arrange his timetable to fit in a visit to Frome and will be there in person to give each child an individually selected present, as well as festive crafts, a silent disco and delicious food.

Also being gifted to up to 120 children and their adults this year are theatre tickets to The Memorial, The Merlin and The Lucky Chance local theatre venues to see Sleeping Beauty, A Christmas Carol, The Little Match Girl and The Ugly Duckling.  Some shows offer ‘relaxed’ performances; an adjusted approach to regular theatre ‘rules’ where lighting and sound is adapted to support sensory needs and where nobody tuts or stares, so that parents don’t feel judged and children can be free to be themselves!
