RING OF FIRE BIKE RIDE '19
Milton Keynes RUFC Summer Fund Raiser 2019: Bordeaux to Beziers.
2 WHEELS | 4 DAYS | 400 MILES | 55 Riders/Support Crew
DJ, Mac & Sav will be amongst the 55 volunteers heading to Bordeaux on the 17th May 2019 to begin the 400 miles cycle ride over 4 days to Beziers.
Our page is linked to the main Ring Of Fire donations page however, we wanted the opportunity to raise our own funds to support the overall effort.
As many of you know, DJ, Mac and Sav's boys are all part of the MKRUFC U13's, but they are also key volunteers who contribute to MKRUFC too.
Event Details
MKRUFC is a community based rugby club, serving Milton Keynes and the surrounding area. We offer rugby, coaching and fitness training to Boys and Girls from U6 to 106.
We have organised a sponsored cycle from Bordeaux to Beziers in France. The route takes us 600km from the Atlantic coast down to the Med in 4 days. The mixed ability group of former players and friends of the club consists of 55 riders and 10 support crew who are passionate about giving back to rugby and the local community.

How the funding will be spent
As with all Community/Charity based organisations we have to rely on the generosity of others. All funds raised will go back into the club to improve and develop community rugby in Milton Keynes. Our aim is to make the club more self-sufficient and to improve our facility for the long term future of the club.We have a substantial Mini and Junior section that we want to continually develop. This will also ensure our senior teams thrive with the help of home grown talent in years to come.
How this will benefit the community
An improved facility helps our local community by providing a safe and secure factilty to share with residents and friends of the club. Improved facilities also mean that we can deliver more rugby and sports support to our club members and guests of all ages and abilities.
