We have two little boys, Samuel, who just turned 4, and Oliver who is 2.5.
Samuel got a ridiculous amount of toys for his birthday and was spoilt rotten by everyone. For the last few years we have been putting Samuel's old toys away in the hope that one day Oliver will be able to play with them.
Oliver is severely disabled, he has an undiagnosed genetic condition, hypotonia, global development delay, and severe drug resistant epilepsy. He is about 8-10 weeks old developmentally and can't support any of his own limbs, especially his neck and back. It is unlikely he will progress enough to be able to play with all these toys we are keeping, and if he does we'll buy him new ones!
So we've decided to sell them and raise money for Embrace instead who have been really supportive over the last 12 months and I'm sure will continue to be so over the coming years, especially as Oliver gets older.
