This May I am running 10k at the Great Western Run for the Life Chance Trust. This charity supports young people aged 16-25 who have experienced childhood trauma through mentoring and personalised support.
I am definitely not a natural runner and this will be challenging and wayyyy out of my comfort zone. But, it’s really important to me that young people know that what has happened to them does not define them, nor does it have to dictate the trajectory of their lives. As a young person who often believed this to be true life chance’s work is close to my heart. I’m running and raising money for the young people who deserve this kind of support, now and in the future, but also for little me who never believed something like this could exist.
