Doncaster Ladies Circle walking Route 66
Every year Doncaster Ladies Circle like to challenge themselves whilst raising money for the current Chairladys chosen charity. This year our Chair Nayla Byron has chosen Aurora Wellbeing which is a charity that is very close to her heart.
Previous years we have jumped out of aeroplanes, ran half marathons and climbed the Yorkshire Three Peaks!
This year however it proved difficult to think of a challenge that we could complete during lockdown.
Being the determined females that we are though, we didn’t let that stop us!
So we are aiming to virtually walk the distance of Route 66 as a group within 3 months starting on the 4th July.
All steps completed by each individual either by walking or running will be recorded on the World Walking App.
The steps will all be added together to hit the target of 5,235,821 steps between us and the aim is to complete this by October to coincide with Breast Awareness Month.
Good luck Annaliese and ladies! Shaun, Rachel, Imogen & Sienna
