I’m running a half marathon to raise awareness and support for men’s mental health something that still isn’t talked about nearly enough. Too many men feel pressure to stay silent, bottle things up, or “just get on with it,” which can leave them feeling isolated and struggling alone. In the UK, around three quarters of suicides are men, with roughly 14 men losing their lives every day that’s nearly 100 every week, over 5,000 every year . These aren’t just numbers they’re fathers, brothers, sons, and friends. Mental health affects everyone, and it’s just as important for men to feel safe opening up, asking for help, and having honest conversations. By taking on this challenge, I hope to play a small part in breaking the stigma, encouraging more openness, and reminding men and boys that they’re not alone. Every donation helps support vital work and, more importantly, helps keep this conversation going.
