The Foundation aims to support the development of health, education, community and rugby league across the city of York and wider region. The Foundation has a vision to ‘Inspire Communities and Changing Lives across York and North Yorkshire.’The work of the Foundation couldn’t happen without the support and generosity of many different businesses, organisations and individuals. The funds raised through this appeal will be directly invested into helping our various projects.
York RLFC fan Russell, recently ran and raised funds for the Foundation in the York 10K dressed as a horse! He enjoyed it so much, he has now kindly offered to run the Yorkshire 10 Mile once again dressed as a horse! The Yorkshire 10 Mile takes place on Sunday 19th October, the same day as the Yorkshire Marathon. Starting and finishing at the University of York, the Yorkshire 10 Mile takes in part of the same route as the Yorkshire Marathon through the beautiful city of York.
We would like to say a big thank you to Russell for this kind offer and any donation towards his challenge is greatly appreciated and will go directly towards our work in the community, including our Wheelchair Rugby League team, RugBees girls programme, Excel Player Development Programme and our Disability Rugby League teams.
