The Bridge Youth Project is a registered schools work charity serving young people in
primary and secondary schools across the Salisbury area, with a passion to bring Christian
faith, hope and love to children and young people through mental health & wellbeing and
spiritual development. These include pastoral support, mentoring, 1-2-1 work, social skills
programmes, lessons, self-awareness/esteem courses, prayer spaces, whole-day events,
lunch clubs, collective worships and much more! The last year, however, has seen a huge rise
in the number of chaplaincy-based provisions, with more and more schools looking to sign
up. In September 2022 the Bridge launched 7 chaplains into 11 schools and in September
2023 they anticipate partnering with at least 16.
With 12 paid members of staff and a number of amazing volunteers, the bridge relies heavily
on donations to fund their work. School budgets are also incredibly stretched and yet the
need is perhaps bigger than ever.
So, thank you for helping to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and young
people across this area!
