Hi, thank you for visiting our fund-raising page for Stripey Stork. The lovely Jackie and I will be running the Run Reigate 10k in our new yearly Fancy dress costumes to raise money for the incredible local charity 'Stripey Stork' on the 18th of September.
Stripey Stork Is a charity that supports children and parents experiencing hardship. By giving clothes, toys, baby and children's products and equipment to families and parents who have escaped abuse or found themselves in hardship. All items are sourced and collected second hand so also recycling and reusing many items. This could be a school bag, duvet cover or simply a tube of toothpaste. The impact is enormous to those who sometimes have never experienced any kindness in their lives.
They work in partnership with support services such as children’s centres, schools, health visitors, domestic abuse services and social service agencies.
All of the donations go directly to the families that they support, and each item to someone who specifically needs it. Volunteers work extremely hard to help many people in desperate need, and more recently the families arriving from Ukraine.
This is an incredible charity, and anything donated is truly gratefully received.
