When I saw that Sandy Bear Child Bereavement were looking for people to get out of a plane at 12,000ft and free fall for 45 seconds, I actually "jumped" at the chance (pardon the pun) to be involved.
The work that Sandy Bear do is truly amazing, but unfortunately they can only run by the donations of others. They provide support to children, young adults (0-18) and their families who have experienced a bereavement. Grief is difficult for us adults and is hard to process, so I can not imagine what grief looks like for a child. With the help of Sandy Bear, they can support the emotional needs of children and help them process their loss in a safe environment.
Just imagine, at your most vulnerable state as an adult after losing a loved one, that someone is actually there to help and support the children in your life. I think this is priceless and feel privileged that this service is local to my family.
So, here I am asking YOU for help. I've set myself a target of fundraising £600 in the next two months for Sandy Bear Child Bereavement. I am hopeful that this target will be smashed, but we can only do this with your help.
I never, ever, ever ask for help, so this is very difficult thing for me to ask. If you can spare any change for this great cause by donating, I will be forever grateful ❤
To conclude, on the 26th May, 2019, I shall be getting (pushed) out of a plane at 12,000ft hoping that the parachute opens!
