We are hoping to raise enough funds to enable us to distribute 50 to 100 Art therapy bags to children with Sickle Cell living in the Thames Valley area. Each bag will be £10.00 and will contain an A4 sketch book, A5 note book, colouring pencils, drawing pencils, eraser, colouring pens, pencil sharpener and stickers.

Sickle cell can cause severe pain episodes for sufferers resulting in many physical and mental challenges. Several pilot programs have cropped up in hospitals and community centers across the country and have proven to provide a welcomed distraction from health issues and pain for its participants. Art therapy is proven to have a positive impact for those with life long illnesses as it is way of expressing emotion and most importantly a distraction from everyday challenges they may face.

To raise enough money to offer a much needed distraction to all children living with Sickle Cell in the Thames Valley area and to introduce a new method of which they can positively express themselves.
