Southend United Football club provided the young carers at Kool carers with a 12 week programme last summer. Recently they gave the charities young carers tickets for a match day against York city and after generously donated a signed football by the whole team (2023/24 squad).
The charity have a huge job this year of raising funds to sustain and keep the charity going so that young carers in South East Essex get the respite they need and continue having nice days out like they did with Southend united. Kool carers is a safe space for young people to come and meet other like minded individuals. They care for family members whom suffer with physical/mental ill health, disabilities or drug/alcohol addition. The charity provides respite activities by the professional staffing team, days out, sailing trips, and much much more. The charity work holistically with their families and also provide counselling support without waiting lists. The office staff will also help families by referring them to the appropriate people within/outside the charity to gain the support they need for better outcomes. So please consider helping this amazing local children's charity and also be in a chance to win an awesome prize too.
