Sleep Out to Help Out Our Rough Sleeping Community
This year has been incredibly challenging for everyone. The Covid-19 pandemic has caused an unprecedented need for emergency housing services within our local community. Anglia Care Trust has been on hand and fully operational during both lockdowns to provide emergency housing not only to rough sleepers in Ipswich and surrounding areas, but also to survivors of domestic abuse fleeing unsafe situations.
We want to recognise the hard work Anglia Care Trust have done this year and every year. We also want to demonstrate the hardships faced by rough sleepers.
To do this, a group of willing volunteers will be participating in a 'Sleep Out to Help Out' from their gardens as per COVID-19 restrictions. We will spend the night of Friday 5th February 2021 sleeping 'rough' to raise money to continue supporting the exceptional work Anglia Care Trust do, and to ensure there is continued support for our rough sleeping community.
We hope this event will spread awareness of the realities faced by rough sleepers, and encourage those in more fortunate positions to give a little love at this difficult time!
Well done for raising awareness!
