As most of you will know by now,we are a loud and proud neurodivergent family. You have all probably heard us raving about an amazing local organisation called STAND NW CIC that have supported us over the course of our journey of being parents to three nonverbal children with multiple disabilities.

Becoming a part of the STAND family has changed the course of all of our lives and with the help of ' our tribe ' we have been able to build a village of support that means we now no longer feel lonely and isolated.STAND has empowered us to educate ourselves on neurodivergence which really has been life changing for our family. We now feel equipped to advocate for our children and provide the level of support that they need to thrive and live their best lives. It has also led to Victoria sharing her own lived experiences to advocate for a more neuro affirmative society.

Unfortunately STAND are not core funded and relay heavily on the generosity of our community to enable them to keep doing the amazing work that they do.

April is Autism Awareness month and with the glorious weather we have been having,Victoria and I thought it would be a good time to not only raise awareness but also some much needed funds for STAND NW CIC.

On our journey of promoting our wellbeing to enhance our quality of life,we purchased a disability bike so our children could have the opportunity to go on bike rides like other children their age.Our aim is for the children and I to cycle fifty miles over four weeks to raise some much needed funds and we really would appreciate your support!! Any donation,no matter how small you may think it is,will be greatly appreciated by us!
