A group of students and staff will brave the outdoors once again and Sleep Out to raise awareness of the valuable work that The Doorway Project does to support those who are homeless and those moving on from homelessness.
As well as providing guests with everyday basics like freshly cooked food, laundry and shower facilities, they aim to run activities (creative writing, music, art workshops, indoor football, women's group) to build self esteem and teach new skills as a first step to moving into work and sustaining a tenancy.
In February 2020 the students at St Mary's raised a fantastic amount which supported the charity through the early days of the pandemic. We hope to raise another handsome sum so as to be able to provide further support.
