Team Fundraisers
Unfortunately homelessness is a downward spiral, and on the increase nationally. I find the scale of the problem heartbreaking and overwhelming. No individual person or organisation can do anything to bring about the kind of change that is required but I’m convinced that collectively we can make a positive difference.
In November I started a new job with The Homeless Pastors in Halifax. The Homeless Pastors exists to equip the church to better serve the needs of the homeless by providing in-depth, practical training to churches and charities - so enabling those on the margins to encounter the love of Jesus and begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
Our team will be walking 100km through the Scottish Borders to The Holy Island over 4 days from 18th - 21st April.
Each day we will walk in Pilgrimage to God, sometimes in silence but together as a community. Finishing with the bare foot walk across the sands to Holy Island.
Funds raised will help support our homeless outreach, training churches and charities to be more effective in supporting the homeless and helping to build our network of Light Groups, which are a mixture of recovery and faith.
