Mae Cylch Meithrin Nant Lleucu yn codi arian tuag at elusen Banc Bwyd Caerdydd dros y mis nesaf, er mwyn cefnogi rhai o'r cymunedau sydd angen ein cefnogaeth ar hyn o bryd. Felly, yr ydym eisiau i chi helpu ni!
Mae Nant Lleucu yn llifo o lyn y Rhath, drwy'r gerddi pleser, ar hyd cae hamdden y 'Rec', gerddi Melin y Rhath a Waterloo, a thu hwnt - heibio archfarchnadoedd Colchester Avenue tuag at yr afon Rhymni - ble saif Ysgol y Berllan Deg.
Cafodd y nant ei henwi ar ol Lleucu, gwraig Llywelyn Bren - uchelwr lleol â arweiniodd wrthryfel yn erbyn teyrnasiaeth Edward II o Loegr yn 1316. Bu farw ef yn 1318 a hithau yn 1349. Roedd hi'n fam i saith o fechgyn. Ai dyma ble daeth y dywediad 'O Mam Bach' tybed?!!
Beth am gerdded at y ran o'r nant sydd yn agos i'ch cartref a chymerwch lun, ei bostio ar ein/eich tudalen facebook a chyfrannwch at ein ymgyrch! Neu beth am lun mewn man gwyrdd neu goedfan - mae'r enw Llywelyn Bren yn dod o'r syniad o goedwig. Pob hwyl arni!

Cylch Meithrin Nant Lleucu is raising money towards the Cardiff Foodbank as a way of supporting those in need during these difficult times. We would like you to take part!
Nant Lleucu flows from Roath Lake, through the pleasure gardens, the recreation ground, Roath Mill and Waterloo gardens, past the supermarkets on Colchester Avenue before joining the Rhumney river, near Ysgol y Berllan Deg.
The stream was named after Lleucu, wife of Llywelyn Bren (Llywelyn of the Woods) a nobleman who led a revolt in Wales during the reign of King Edward II of England in 1316. He died in 1318 and she lived till 1349. She was a mother to seven boys!! 'O Mam Bach!' as we say in Welsh!
How about walking to Nant Lleucu, taking a picture of Nant Lleucu to post on our/your facebook page and donating some money to the cause? Or how about a picture by some trees or woodland? After all, the 'Bren' is translated as Wood , meaning 'Llywelyn of the Woods'.
