It's not the injustice that drives us, it's her hope for a better life.
Women's Health Matters champion freedom for disadvantaged women and girls so they may have a fair chance at a better life. These women are most at risk, including those experiencing domestic violence, sexual and emotional abuse, those with children in care or at risk of being removed, young mums, women seeking asylum, women with learning difficulties, and women with complex needs or mental health and wellbeing needs. We take a woman-centred holistic approach, creating a safe, nurturing environment to help women recover their confidence, explore their own needs and regain control over their lives. For more information about the vital support we provide, please see our website: www.womenshealthmatters.org.uk.
From our 2024 snapshot survey, over 95% of women we work with intensively have improved wellbeing, increased self-confidence and feel more empowered to make their own choices. 99% agree that they can leave or feel able to leave an abusive relationship if they wanted following support. 95% of those we help say we provided support unavailable elsewhere.
