I (Dave) used to be a keen cyclist until the late 1990’s, when my deteriorating eyesight meant I was registered blind and could no longer cycle independently - or safely. Life events followed, but in 2023 I got back in the saddle for Ride Reigate with my friend and trusty tandem pilot, Bal. I love the sense of freedom it gives me and it's a fantastic way for me to stay active.

This year, we're back on the saddle again - joined by our friend and fellow cyclist, Dom. Taking on a challenge like this is always special, especially when it's for a great cause. That’s why this year we’ve chosen to support Stripey Stork on our 100k ride.

Stripey Stork is a local charity, well known to many of our friends and family, that supports babies, children and families experiencing hardship in Surrey and Croydon. We’d love to raise as much as we can to help fund their vital work, especially at a time when demand for their service is greater than ever.

As family men ourselves, it's heartbreaking to think that children don't have the basic items they need to grow, learn and enjoy life.
