Team Fundraisers

Hi, my name is Steve Taylor (aka Unit) and I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in February 2022.

After 14 rounds of chemo, I am due to complete 10 rounds of radiotherapy by early April 2023.

My support unit has been amazing over the past year and I have managed to get a team together of amazing friends and family to take part in the ‘100k in May’ challenge for We Get It.  The challenge is to walk as far as possible on Sunday 7th May. We start in Bath, walk along the canal and end up in Devizes. Some team members will be walking the whole distance and some will be walking part of the distance but we are walking as #teamunit collectively to raise funds for We Get It.

In 2022 I managed to raise over £4,000 for two charities close to my heart; one being We Get It. We Get It was referred to me by my former colleague and good friend Lynne Fernquest. Set up by the lovely Laura Phillips, a local cancer group which offers support whether you are in remission, living with cancer or recently diagnosed. They understand as they have been there. This group has been amazing for my mental health and provided ongoing support for my wife and I.

Please support #teamunit and thank you for your kind donation x
