In May, I will be embarking on another charity cycle covering 500 miles in 5 days from Bordeaux down the Atlantic Coast to Dax, inland to Condom, Cahors and Bergerac before heading back to Bordeaux.
I will be joined by a 40+ strong cycling team and 10 strong support crew. We are not 'hard core' cyclists but rather a gathering of lapsed athletes, ex rugby players and friends of the club that happen to own a bicycle and care about 'giving' to our community. This year, we are proud to join forces with our local charity Willen Hospice (WH).
Your sponsorship is most appreciated to help make this challenge more rewarding for the causes we support. Please note: All of our costs are covered through individual funding or corporate sponsorship and therefore all donations will go directly to the club and Willen Hospice.
Willen Hospice touches thousands of local people every year, giving comfort, easing pain and reducing anxiety for patients and their loved ones. Every donation makes a real difference and enables Willen Hospice to support more people when they need it most. WH only receive less than a quarter of their funding from the NHS, which means the rest is donated or fundraised by amazing people. Which is why your support is so important and so appreciated.(Willen Hospice - End of life palliative care (willen-hospice.org.uk) MKRUFC, is a community sports club that supports a wide range of ages and genders through our Vets, Senior Teams, Colts and Minis. Like most organisations we had to cope with the effects of covid and it is great to, once again, support the mental and physical wellbeing of our diverse community. .
