Days left

  • I'll be running the entire length of the Thames from its source in Gloucestershire to the London Stone near the Isle of Sheppey, in memory of Rass, who tragically left this world for the next plane on 17/05/25.

  • A total of 374kms, I'll be doing it in sections of 20-30km per day, depending on how brave I'm feeling that day! This means completion is 13-20 days. The timeframe will shorten depending on how many consecutive days I'm able to do, which will be as many as possible subject to work commitments and other external factors. I'll be starting on Bank Holiday Monday if all things go to plan.

  • Remember, I'll be doing this alone, but with your support I'll never feel alone! In fact, there is never a reason for anyone to feel alone in this world.

  • UPDATE (26/05/25): Stage 1 has been completed. If you're wondering why it's only 6km, I also did 3.6km to reach the Source of the Thames from the train station, then jogged 3.9km to get back -- so 13.5km for the day. A lot of ground covered, but not a lot of distance on the Thames Towpath. I was out there for 2.5 hours, also took 2.5 hours to get there and back, so 7.5 hours. I'll be able to dedicate more time and distance for thru running as the river gets closer to London and less remote, with better transport links, but for today I didn't fancy being stranded in the Cotswolds overnight with only my hydration vest as company. I would've liked to have done more today, but sometimes you have to know to quit while you're ahead.

  • Next Stage is currently planned for Tuesday, 4th June
