Richard and I are taking part in the “Big street sleepout” on 7th November in Burnley. We hope to raise vital funds and awareness for the Light Group who supports people experiencing homelessness, social isolation and hardship across the area. We are choosing to give our bed up for just one night, to stand in solidarity with those who don’t have that choice. In doing so we are helping to ensure the light group continues to run regular support and outreach groups, provide food, essentials and emergency help, offer compassion, guidance and pathways out of homelessness and create safe spaces where people can begin rebuilding their lives.
