As I said to Greeny the organiser of this madcap event. I always chip in for great causes but I’ve never really been part of any kind of challenge on this scale so I am delighted to be doing something for others locally.
I just had to jump onboard when I heard the Riff Raff Society were taking a Romanc Army to tackle Hadrians wall pushing each other in wheelbarrows the whole breadth of the country.
Any funds raised are being used to facilitate a heart monitoring day at the George Carnell with the intention of diagnosing any pre-existing heart issues in the young people that are to be tested in trafford.
The Blake family from Urmston tragically lost their son Nathan aged just 26 to such an issue and the family are part of our team and they are responsible for putting this day on in conjunction with CRY (Cardiac risk in the Young) which is the charity that we are partnering with.
