For the second year we are raising funds for with my "Festive Frothy Fundraiser" and "Twelve Days Twinkling Tombola 2.0" If you can make the coffee morning on the 5th you are guaranteed some truly scrumptious cakes and fabulously frothy beverages to start the festive season! If not you can always enter the Twinkling Twelve Days Tombola. Once again , due to some superbly generous donations from some amazing people, we have again got some fabulous prizes for you can win when the raffle sales open on the 26/11. The draw will be on the eve of 12/12 on Sunday 11/12.
Why raise funds for Cancer support ?
Earlier this year I started volunteering for an amazing local charity Al's Pals . Suzanne the founder does an amazing job, so anyway I can support this I will do, so thank you for donating to this brilliant charity.
But, as those of you who know me treatment for cancer is particularly close to my heart. 6 years ago the amazing treatment provided by the Royal Marsden saved my life!
In 2015 when my cancer returned it was particularly nasty and starting to attack my body,so much so, my life was in danger.The amazing Professor Tekkis performed an operation, that at that time had only been completed on 40 other people around the World! Thankfully that was successful. I then received amazing care in my recovery from t in the Royal Marsden.
As many of you know, I have had to visit the RMH on a number of occasions since. The level of care, support and professionalism that they deliver never ceases to amaze me.
So, 5 years on I wouldn't be here if not for the amazing skill , treatment and care from the Royal Marsden team. As a result I want to do my bit to support anyone going through the same as I went through, that is why the volunteering for Als Pals is so important and rewarding for me.
So your support of this amazing organisation is massively appreciated!
And Good Luck in the 'Twinkling Tombola' in early December!
